"Urso 100" is a drug based on ursodeoxycholic acid. It protects the liver, dissolves cholesterol stones, and stimulates the production of bile, gastric juice, and pancreatic function. It is available in the form of tablets of 100 mg (in a pack of 10 blisters, 100 tablets each). It is available on a doctor's prescription.
Indications for use
The drug is used for diseases of the liver and biliary tract, such as:
- Dissolution of cholesterol stones in the gallbladder and ducts.
- Chronic cholecystitis and cholangitis with bile congestion.
- Impaired biliary tract motility.
- Liver protection during cytostatic treatment.
Important:
The drug is not suitable if the stones are calcified, there are many of them or they are very large, as well as if the bile ducts are completely blocked.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in:
- Acute inflammation of the gallbladder and biliary tract.
- Severe cirrhosis of the liver.
- Acute intestinal inflammation.
- Serious disorders of the kidneys, liver and pancreas.
Method of administration and dosage
To dissolve the stones, take 2-5 tablets in the evening.
Safety precautions
- Regularly check the level of liver enzymes in the blood.
- After the stones dissolve, continue treatment for several months to prevent the recurrence of stones.
Interaction
The drug enhances the effect of oral hypoglycemic agents.

- Nausea, abdominal pain.
- Constipation.
- Itchy skin.
