Laennec is an injection solution containing human placenta hydrolysate. It is used as an immunomodulator and hepatoprotector for the treatment of liver diseases, as well as in the complex therapy of herpetic infections and atopic dermatitis.
Form of release
The drug is available in dark glass hydrolytic class 2 ampoules. Each ampoule contains 2 ml of a solution with 112 mg of placenta hydrolysate, water for injection, and a pH corrector (sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid). The package may contain 10 or 50 ampoules in a cardboard box with dividers.
Pharmacological effect
Laennec stimulates humoral immunity, improves the functioning of phagocytes and natural killers, and increases the bactericidal activity of leukocytes. It also promotes the regeneration of liver cells, reduces the accumulation of lipids and cholesterol, activates metabolism, and slows down the development of connective tissue in the liver.

With caution: in patients with polyvalent drug allergies and the elderly.

Side effects
Side effects are observed in 3.7% of patients. Allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, are possible. Other side effects include pain at the injection site (2.56%), skin redness and itching (0.37%), numbness (0.37%), and gynecomastia (no association with the drug has been proven).
Storage conditions
Store the drug in a dark place at a temperature of +18 to +25 °C. Shelf life is 3 years.
