«Dasakast» (Dasakast) is an antitumor drug that is used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Active ingredient: dasatinib.

Form of release: film-coated tablets.

Manufacturer: Aprazer Healthcare, India.

Dosage: depends on the disease:

• in chronic myeloid leukemia in the chronic phase: usually 100 mg/day (2 tablets);
• in advanced phases: 140 mg/day.

The drug is taken once a day at the same time. Treatment continues until the disease progresses or intolerance occurs.

Side effects:

• Frequent: fluid retention and swelling, low blood levels (anemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia), nausea, diarrhea, skin ulcers, and rashes.
• Serious: bone marrow suppression, pleural effusion, hematological toxicity with risk of bleeding, hepatotoxicity, QT prolongation, and cardiac arrhythmias.

"Dasacast" is a prescription drug that can only be taken under the supervision of an oncologist or hematologist.
