Fampridine is the active ingredient of the drug "Fampira". It is a potassium channel blocker that prevents the loss of potassium by nerve cells. This restores the normal transmission of signals between nerve endings, which improves the patient's movement and balance.
Release form: 10 mg tablets in a pack of 100 pieces.
"Fampira" is used for the symptomatic treatment of walking disorders in adults with multiple sclerosis (with a score of 4-7 on the extended EDSS scale). The drug can be used alone or in combination with other medications.
The drug is not recommended for:
Pregnant and lactating women should take the drug with caution.
Recommended dose: one tablet (10 mg) twice a day with an interval of 12 hours (morning and evening). Do not exceed the indicated dosage.
