Apnath (apalutamide) is an oral non-steroidal drug that blocks androgen receptors. It is used to treat prostate cancer.

Indications:

• non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer with a high risk of metastasis;
• metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer in combination with androgen-deprivation therapy.

Dosage form: film-coated, oblong, biconvex tablets, yellowish-green to greenish-gray in color.

Dosage: 240 mg (4 tablets of 60 mg) once a day. Tablets are taken whole, regardless of food.

Contraindications:

• allergy to the active substance or the components of the drug;
• severe renal and hepatic insufficiency;
• pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• under the age of 18.
